Sindyanna of Galilee – Aug-Sep 2012 Newsletter

Hints of autumn are in the air. Without taking time to recover from summer vacation, we are busy preparing for the Scottish Grove Project: its first olive grove planting will take place on September 15.

We are grateful for your daily support in our social media. On Facebook we have launched a campaign for olive-oil soap as a gift item. When the number of LIKEs reaches 300, ten of the likers, chosen by lot, will receive a bar of olive oil soap. Your “Like” gives a big boost to Sindyanna’s women. Please visit our Facebook page and join the campaign.

Yours Sincerely,
Hadas Lahav

Basket Weaving Workshops

Sindyanna's Visitor Center in Kufr Manda holds basket weaving workshops for visitors throughout the week, with the goal of promoting communication with Arab women, as well as their employment.

The Arab women who mastered the skill of traditional basket weaving through Sindyanna's vocational training would be more than happy to teach you how to weave baskets or whatever else you are interested in making.

We also welcome visitors from Israel and from abroad. If you would like to book a workshop or have any inquiry, please feel free to email us at or call us at +972-4-9863191 / +972-54-6598910.
