We're in the midst of the summer season, getting ready for a short and well deserved vacation after a very busy year. A lot has piled up over the last two months as you will see below – another international prize, a 5 star fair trade rating, visitors from and visits to various countries, a video showing how to make a summer dish using our products, and much more.
But before we get into all of that, I'd like to let you know that we'll be exhibiting in the Israeli pavilion at Anuga (Oct. 6-8 in Cologne, Germany) – the world´s leading food fair for the retail trade and the food service and catering market.
I'll be at our booth so if you are planning to be there, or you know someone who is, please email me so we get a chance to meet. We'll be presenting our special story in Hall 2.1, Stand No. C28/D25. While there, you can also reach me on my mobile: (+972) 50-584-8244.
I hope you're all enjoying your summer, on vacation or otherwise.
Yours as always,

A Visit from the T'ruah Organization
In June we were happy to be visited by Joshua and Judy Bloom from T'ruah, an organization of rabbis from all streams of Judaism that acts on the Jewish imperative to respect and protect the human rights of all people. They came to our visitors center in Kufr Manda, our Scots Grove near the village of Yafia (where they met Rev. Colin Johnston of the Tiberias Scottish Church), and met with Ibrahim Kilani, our fair trade honey producer from Yafia.
Delicious Recipe Using Sindyanna's Products
Sindyanna is not only the Scottish Church's partner in the Scots Grove, but also supplies products to the Scots Hotel in Tiberias. To see how Anat Ottolenghi, the hotel's chef, uses Sindyanna's olive oil and za'atar, head over to YouTube. In the video she prepares the perfect dish for these hot summer days – goat cheese wrapped in bread crumbs and za'atar, deep fried in olive oild, and served on a bed of goat milk yogurt and mint. Enjoy!
Interview with a Basketweaving Workshop Participant
Michal Zilberberg has been participating in the joint weaving course for Jewish and Arab women in Kfar Manda since October 2012. She lives in Kfar Saba, a mother of two adolescents, and does art work in hot glass, especially making beads. Michal really likes arts and crafts in general, such as knitting, sowing and yarn spinning, as well as playing the clarinet. Read the entire interview.
